On December 2, 2020, the eleventh Joint Commision European Union (EU) - Argentina took place in virtual format. The progress made on both the regional and bilateral agendas was reviewed and the important political dimension that the relationship is taking was highlighted.

The mutual commitment to democracy, the rule of law, fundamental human rights, strict adherence to the rules of international law and gender equity were reaffirmed. Argentina expressed its firm support for a rules-based international order and an effective multilateral system.
