Brussels, 29th November 2023 - The Argentine Embassy to the European Union actively participated in the Meeting of High Authorities of the Joint Initiative on Research and Innovation (JIRI) between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). This meeting addressed key cooperation topics in Research and Innovation (R&I) between both regions.

 

Argentina plays a leading role in these meetings and has played a fundamental role in structuring and leading the pillars guiding joint work since 2011. In particular, Argentina leads the pillar related to innovation, highlighting the country's ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence in the field of research and innovation.

 

The Argentine Embassy celebrates the opportunity to participate in these bi-regional dialogue instances, reflecting the shared interest in advancing scientific and technological cooperation between the European Union and CELAC. Argentina reaffirms its commitment to actively contribute to the advancement of research and innovation in the international context.
