Meeting with Ms. Adriana Vázquez Garrido, Head of the South America Division of the European External Action Service

Brussels, 15th September 2023 - A meeting took place between representatives of the Argentine Embassy to the EU and the newly appointed Head of the South America Division for the European External Action Service (EEAS), Ms. Adriana Vázquez Garrido.

 

During this meeting, essential topics for the relationship between Argentina and the EU in the coming months were addressed. The meeting was characterized by an atmosphere of constructive dialogue and enriching idea exchange aimed at enhancing bilateral collaboration in various areas.

 

Argentina considers it of paramount importance to maintain constant dialogue with the EU to strengthen cooperation on key issues such as trade, investment, sustainable development, climate change, technology, and human rights, among others.

 

The appointment of Adriana Vázquez Garrido as Head of the South America Division of the EEAS will contribute to strengthening the relationship between Argentina and the EU and advancing the implementation of shared objectives and mutual priorities.

 

The EEAS is the diplomatic service of the European Union responsible for formulating and executing the EU's common foreign and security policy. Its goal is to promote the interests of the EU on the international stage and contribute to peace, security, sustainable development, and stability worldwide.
