Brussels, 14th July 2023 - The Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to the European Union, Atilio Berardi, meets with the Director of Energy Policy at the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission, Cristina Lobillo Borrero.

 

In order to further consolidate collaboration in energy matters between Argentina and the European Union, Ambassador Atilio Berardi held a meeting with Director Cristina Lobillo Borrero from the Directorate-General for Energy.

 

During the meeting, which took place in the city of Brussels, Ambassador Berardi and Director Lobillo discussed the bilateral agenda, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation and promoting the exchange of knowledge and technology in the energy sector.

 

One of the highlights of the meeting was the imminent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on energy between Argentina and the EU. This initiative aims to establish a framework for collaboration that facilitates the joint development of energy projects and lays the groundwork for a closer and more fruitful relationship in this crucial sphere for both territories.

 

Furthermore, during the meeting, the possibility of organizing future high-level meetings with entrepreneurs from both countries was addressed, with the objective of fostering investment and commercial exchange in the energy sector, thus creating opportunities for economic growth and sustainable development for both parties.
