Brussels, 21st September 2023 - The Governor of the Province of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, had a prominent working agenda in the European continent in an effort to enhance opportunities for the Province of Jujuy through bilateral agreements between Argentina and the European Union.
Governor Morales, accompanied by the team from the Argentine Embassy to the European Union, met with high-level European authorities, with the main objective of promoting Argentina's international integration, attracting investments in the field of energy transition, and deepening cooperation between the Government of Jujuy and the EU.
The meetings included encounters with representatives from the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Union Directorate-General for International Partnerships, along with more than 50 companies and credit organizations, the EU Directorate-General for Growth, the EU Directorate-General for Energy, the European External Action Service (EEAS), and the European Parliament.
These concrete actions are framed within the opportunities provided by the recently signed agreements between Argentina and the EU in the energy sector and critical raw materials, as well as the implementation of the Global Gateway project.
Furthermore, Governor Morales met with various Members of the European Parliament and expressed his gratitude in particular to Member of the European Parliament Jordi Cañas for organizing that working meeting. He also extended his thanks to Members of the European Parliament Javi López, Mónica Silvana González, Leopoldo López Gil, and Gabriel Mato for their ongoing support in strengthening ties between Argentina and the European Parliament.
Governor Morales concluded his intensive work agenda in Europe with the conviction that these actions will further strengthen the relationship between Argentina and the European Union, promoting development and cooperation for the benefit of Jujuy and the country as a whole.
