Brussels, 5th December 2023 - In an emotional ceremony, Ambassador Atilio Berardi had the honor of awarding the Medal of Merit to two highly esteemed officials of this Representation, María José Espinosa de Van Laeken and Abdeslam Azlim, who have dedicated over 40 years of service to the Embassy.

 

María José Espinosa de Van Laeken has been a fundamental pillar in the embassy's secretariat since 1980, playing a crucial role in the daily work of the Argentine Embassy to the European Union.

 

On the other hand, Abdeslam Azlim joined the Embassy in 1976 and has made a valuable contribution to the embassy's work over the years, always demonstrating exemplary commitment and enthusiasm.

 

The Argentine Embassy to the European Union expresses gratitude and recognition for the dedication, commitment, and invaluable contribution of María José Espinosa de Van Laeken and Abdeslam Azlim. The Medal of Merit is a well-deserved acknowledgment of their long and exemplary service to the Republic of Argentina.
