Brussels, 5th October 2023 - Ambassador Atilio Berardi, the representative of the Argentine Republic to the European Union, held a fruitful meeting with Taneli Lahti, Chief of Staff to the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen.

 

During the meeting, Ambassador Berardi and Mr. Lahti discussed a wide range of topics with the aim of deepening relations between Argentina and the European Union on various levels. Both emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring new investment opportunities in Argentina, with a particular focus on the energy transition, an area of great significance in the current global landscape and in the strategic focus of the bilateral relationship.

 

The European Union for International Partnerships plays a crucial role in implementing EU cooperation projects and in executing the Global Gateway initiative, which seeks to promote international cooperation worldwide and develop investment projects in areas such as energy transition and sustainable development.

 

This collaboration between Argentina and the EU promises to further strengthen diplomatic and trade ties, while contributing to joint efforts in key areas.
