Brussels, 10th June 2024 - The Embassy of the Argentine Republic to the European Union took part in the seminar organised by the EU-LAC Foundation, which focused on transregional cooperation to combat illicit maritime drug trafficking.
The event, held as part of the EU Crime Fighting Week in Brussels, brought together experts from Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions of the world, with the aim of comprehensively addressing the various aspects of this global challenge.
During the seminar, participants discussed strategies and coordinated approaches to tackle the issue, highlighting the importance of bi-regional cooperation as an essential pillar for effectively combating this form of organised crime.
Argentina's progress in international cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking was also highlighted, as well as opportunities to deepen collaboration with European partners in this area.
The seminar, organised by the EU-LAC Foundation in collaboration with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, provided a conducive space for the exchange of experiences, the development of synergies, and the establishment of new joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the fight against drug trafficking and organised crime.
