Brussels, 7th March 2024 - The Argentine Embassy to the European Union attended the last session of the current mandate of the Delegation for Latin America (DLAT) at the European Parliament, a meeting where strategic visions on the relationship between the European Union and Latin America were shared.
The Belgian Presidency of the EU and the Spanish think tank Real Instituto Elcano concurred on the strategic importance of strengthening ties between the two regions. The session highlighted the role that Latin America plays in the EU's foreign policy and explored avenues for deeper collaboration.
As it was the last session of the mandate, the occasion was apt for expressing gratitude to Javi López, Member of the European Parliament and President of the DLAT, for his decisive leadership at the helm of the delegation and his constant dedication to deepening relations between the EU and Latin America. His commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship between Argentina and the European Union and the joint work with the Argentine Embassy to the European Union was especially appreciated.
