The Argentine Embassy participates in the 4th High-Level Seminar on the Strategic Partnership of the European Union with Latin America and the Caribbean

Brussels, 26th January 2024 - The Argentine Embassy to the European Union took part in the "4th High-Level Seminar: Strategic Partnership of the European Union with Latin America and the Caribbean to address digital, green, and social transitions". This significant event, organised by the EuroAmerica Foundation and the Delegation for Latin America of the European Parliament, highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the two regions.

 

The seminar saw the participation of distinguished personalities, including the High Representative of the European Union, Mr. Josep Borrell, and the President of the Delegation for Latin America of the European Parliament, Mr. Javier López. Both emphasized the need to foster closer cooperation between the European Union and Latin America in key areas such as digitalisation, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion.

 

Andrés Allemand, the Secretary-General of SEGIB, also played a prominent role in the discussions, stressing the relevance of collectively addressing the challenges posed by these transitions. In addition, the president of the EuroAmerica Foundation, Mr. Ramón Jáuregui, reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to promoting a stronger bi-regional strategic partnership.

 

The Argentine Embassy to the EU particularly valued the opportunities this seminar offered to deepen dialogue and collaboration with the European Union. Argentina's participation in this event underscores the country's commitment to working together with European and Latin American partners to face global challenges and identify opportunities for the region arising from digital, green, and social transitions.

 

Continuous cooperation and dialogue between the European Union and Latin America are fundamental for advancing towards a more prosperous and sustainable future for both regions.
