Brussels, 7th December 2023 - Ambassador Atilio Berardi, invited by the Delegation for Mercosur in the European Parliament, chaired by MEP Jordi Cañas, participated in a joint session with ambassadors from Mercosur countries and MEPs who are members of the Delegation for Relations with Mercosur Countries (DMER).

 

Under the theme of the recent Argentine elections, the ambassador presented relevant data on the electoral process and shared key information about the 40 years of democracy in Argentina and the bilateral relations between Argentina and the European Union. The session allowed for a constructive exchange among participants, highlighting the importance of maintaining an open dialogue on political matters of common interest.

 

The Argentine Embassy to the European Union values the ongoing dialogue with the Delegation for Mercosur in the European Parliament. These meetings contribute to strengthening ties between Argentina and the European Union in the parliamentary sphere.
