Meeting on the Argentine Wine Sector

Brussels, 17th November 2023 - The Argentine Embassy to the European Union is pleased to report on the successful convening of a productive meeting that involved representatives from the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, and key stakeholders in the wine sector. The meeting aimed to provide details about the upcoming wine labeling regulations.

 

During the meeting, key aspects of the proposed regulations were thoroughly discussed, with active participation from representatives of the National Institute of Viticulture (INVA Argentina) and Wines of Argentina. This dialogue among different stakeholders allowed for the sharing of relevant information and discussions about the potential impacts and benefits of the new regulations on the Argentine wine sector.

 

The Argentine Embassy to the European Union appreciates the collaboration between Argentine institutions and stakeholders in the wine sector in this regulatory process. Such initiatives demonstrate Argentina's ongoing commitment to promoting transparency and quality in its products, as well as maintaining constructive dialogue with the European Union on trade-related matters.
