The Argentine Embassy to the EU participates in the 2023 Anuga edition

Brussels, 8th October 2023 - The Argentine Embassy to the European Union participated in the most recent edition of Anuga, one of the most significant global food fairs.

The event took place in Cologne, Germany, and brought together prominent representatives of the international food industry. Argentine participation was coordinated by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade, the Undersecretariat for Trade and Investment Promotion, and the Argentine Embassy in Germany.

Ambassador of Argentina to the European Union, Atilio Berardi, led a series of meetings with representatives of various Argentine companies in the food sector, as well as with delegates from Argentine provinces present at the fair. These meetings focused on strengthening commercial relations and promoting the quality of Argentine products in the European market.

Among the different business representatives with whom Ambassador Berardi held meetings were:

- Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA): An entity dedicated to promoting and spreading Argentine beef internationally, with the aim of consolidating the presence of this high-quality product in the European market.

- Federal Investment Council of Argentina (CFI): This organization aims to promote economic and social development in Argentine provinces through investment promotion and support for productive projects.

- Argentine Poultry Processing Companies Center (CEPA Aviculture Argentina): A key entity in the Argentine poultry industry, committed to quality and sustainability in poultry meat production.

- The National Institute of Yerba Mate (INYM), a non-governmental organization that aims to promote, encourage, and strengthen the development of yerba mate production, processing, industrialization, commercialization, and consumption.

The Anuga fair is recognized as the largest and most influential event in the global food and beverage industry. It is held every two years in Cologne and is known for its subdivision into ten specialized fairs, each addressing a different category of food products and beverages.
