Brussels, 7th July 2023 - Ambassador Atilio Berardi participated in the annual meeting of Science Business to promote cooperation in Science and Technology.

 

Ambassador Atilio Berardi, Head of Mission of this Embassy, took part in the annual meeting of Science Business, a network that aims to bring together industry, research, and policy to foster collaboration and innovation. Science Business, comprised of universities, companies, research organizations, and policymakers, has become a unique forum for driving innovation and promoting cooperation among diverse stakeholders.

 

The annual Science Business meeting brings together Europe's most influential innovators and policymakers, providing a platform to discuss and address challenges and opportunities in the field of science and technology. During the event, Ambassador Atilio Berardi joined the ambassadors of Brazil, Pedro Miguel da Costa e Silva, and Chile, Gloria Navarrete, in a joint presentation where they highlighted the importance of bilateral and bi-regional cooperation with the European Union in Science and Technology.

 

In his speech, Ambassador Berardi underscored the common values that underpin collaboration in Science and Technology and highlighted priority areas for intensifying cooperation in research and innovation. The ambassador emphasized the need to strengthen ties between the public and private sectors through the creation of ecosystems that promote knowledge and technology transfer. To this end, he urged the EU to continue working in conjunction with the region as a whole and with Argentina in particular, reinforcing dialogue and information exchange, so that their priorities are considered when designing research and innovation programs and calls for proposals.
