Brussels, 28th June 2023 - Ambassador Berardi met with Cibrán Fernández Silva, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
During the meeting, various topics related to the follow-up of the President of the Council's activities during his visit to Argentina last January were discussed, as well as the documents and organizational framework of the upcoming Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the European Union, which will take place on July 17th and 18th in Brussels.
Both officials highlighted the importance of strengthening and deepening the bilateral relationship between the European Union and Argentina, as well as maintaining a constant and constructive dialogue to address common challenges and promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Berardi expressed his gratitude to Cibrán Fernández for his willingness and commitment to strengthening the relationship between the European Union and Argentina. They both agreed on the importance of working together to advance a joint agenda that contributes to sustainable development, equality, and prosperity in both regions.
The Argentine Embassy to the European Union looks forward to the upcoming CELAC-EU Summit and is confident that this important event will contribute to the strengthening of the relationship between Latin America, the Caribbean, and the European Union.
